HPAS/HAS ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India
  • Minimum age of 21 years and a maximum of 35 years.
  • However, there is some relaxation for candidates belonging to categories other than General for HAS.
  • Also, candidates familiar with the Himachal dialects, customs and traditions are preferred over those who aren’t.

VIVA VOICE

The interview round is the final round. This round is faced by the candidates who have cleared the Mains Examination. The people called for the interview would be 3 times the number of vacancies.

Preliminary Exam

      1. General Studies

  • General Science
  • Himachal Pradesh History, geography, art & culture, political and socio-economic calendar calendar
  • GK and current affairs of national & international importance
  • Indian History and its origin
  • National and International Geography
  • Indian National Movement
  • Economic and Social Development and it’s other co-variants such as sustainable development, social sector growth, social sector initiatives, inclusion, demographics, and poverty etcetera
  • Environmental ecology, Climate change, biodiversity- National and International; and do not demand s subject specialization
  • Social, economic and physical geography both of world and India
  • Politics and Governance including the Indian political system, constitution, RTI, Right Issues, Panchayat Raj, and Public Policy etcetera
2.  Aptitude Test
  •  Comprehension and passage writing
  • Interpersonal skills including communication skills
  • Logical reasoning and analytical ability
  • Decision making and problem-solving
  • General mental ability
  • Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of
    magnitude etc. (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency, etc. – Class X level)
  • English Language comprehension skills (Class X level)

HPAS HAS EXAM SCHEDULE

HAS preliminary exam 2019 is conducted at various centers in the following cities of Himachal Pradesh – Shimla, Solan, Dharamshala, Mandi, Nahan, Una, Hamirpur, Chamba, Bilaspur, and Kullu. However, the main exam is conducted in Shimla only. The HAS 2019 exam dates are notified by the HPPSC online on the official website.


HAS/HPAS RESULTS

HAS results are announced on the official website of the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission almost generally after the month the exam is conducted.


HAS/HPAS FUTURE PROSPECTS

The Central and State civil servants are in charge of the governance of the various departments (non-military) to ensure that the administrative infrastructure works according to the constitutional provision.
